Fairplay, CO to Frisco, CO - 38 miles
Woke up to ice on the tables from spilt water from the night before. Yeah, it got cold last night. Today is finally the day of our big pass, Hoosier Pass at 11,500 ft. Not that bad of a climb either, I think we all were expecting more to be quite honest. What a day though.
We got to the top and took pictures, as we did we noticed another biker that had just ridden to the top only to immediatly turn around and go back down the way we were about to descend. I guess this was this guys daily exercise, awsome! So funny thing... I end up passing the guy on the way down and catch it on video. A few hours later a man walks up and says with an air of excitement, "I think one of you guys came flying past me on the down Hoosier." So I turn to him and say, "Yeah I think that might have been me, and I think I have it on video." So we loaded this video up and sure enough he's the second guy I pass after Kevin in the red jacket.
What an awesome run in. He was pumped to say the least and ran to get his wife to show her. It was really neat to have the tent set up and talking to everyone right in the middle of Breckenridge.
The kind of ended on a buzzkill that there was no where to camp locally, and after much frustration, at the end of the day we just moved on 7 miles to a sweet campsite in Frisco.
